I received an unexpected email this morning. I got my BJCP exam score today a full two months earlier than I figured it would come.
I achieved a score sufficient to attain the level of Certified once I’ve gotten four more judging experience points.
This isn’t too shabby, but I’ll more than likely end up taking it again sometime soon.
Congrats. I know it’s a lot of work and dedication. So why take it again if you have the certified level, after more judging? Is there a higher level you want?
Thanks! There are a few levels more: National judge, Master judge, and Grand Master judge!
Master and Grand Master are pretty hefty commitments in terms of time. Who knows if I’ll ever get there, but National is pretty attainable in my mind.
Congratulations, I got some inside info from some high ranked judges to retest only take one part of the test to improve. That way you don’t have to stop to drink or have to stay the whole time if you are only taste scoring. That is what I’m doing, it takes a little longer but they have seen better results.
Congratulations from your Mom. I’m proud of you.
Thanks, mom. {blush}
Milhouse!!! Thanks! That sounds like good advice. Love to see your entry in the anniversary contest.
